Fred Galvin served for 26 years as a soldier and Marine Corps Officer with assignments in infantry, reconnaissance, force retreat and Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC / Marine Raiders). He has led hundreds of combat missions involving raids, reconnaissance, naval, and ambush operations in Iraq, Afghanistan and the Arabian Gulf, Gulf of Oman and Gulf of Aden. The Marine Corps appointed Galvin to command the first Marine Special Operations Task Force to plan for combat. While leading a mission in Afghanistan, Galvin and six other Marines were accused of war crimes leading to the longest investigation in Marine Corps history that led to their dismissal.

Captain Fred Galvin led 39 ships in the North African Sea 2003 to 2004.
While the basic theme is about the Fox team's ambush and aftermath, what do you hope the reader will learn from your book?
Major Galvin: In this case, don't judge a book by its cover. What happened with the Fox Company is that we were suddenly seen as the bad guys, and everything that the media and the Afghans said we had done was proven in court, by evidence that we did not have. change, is false.
The book details who spoke against us and what we actually did. And when people read this, they will know that the media and many military leaders have fallen for lies.

When it was corrected a few years later by respected members of the media, not once did a person in uniform stand up and use legal terms like "bad" or "not bad" to describe soak. But the damage was done.
What we have is something the United States does not expect from leaders in the world's largest military. Americans believe that our leaders are trustworthy, and they do not expect them to betray those who fight for our country.
So, one of the main points of this book is not to judge a book by its cover. The true colors of some top - to some, respectable - military leaders are revealed in this book.
Major Galvin: I think that when our salaries were cut off, the most important thing for us was to continue serving. I served for seven years until I was forced to retire. I tried to correct all of these things in my record, but you know the Marine Corps wrote lies and false statements and put them in my military records - and they stayed there.
Marine Spec. Ops. Officer Accused Of Killing 19 Civilians Is Vindicated
I have fought for years to remove those false statements but the Marine Corps has fought so hard to keep them there that I have to remove them. Then, on the day I retired, the Marine Corps Times published a story saying that we had killed 19 civilians and wounded 50 others.
That was completely false, so I contacted the editor of the Marine Corps Times, sent a copy of my polygraph and summary from the court, they just changed the wording to say and we killed "up to 19 civilians" .
It is a military product that does not use the legal terms of "innocent" or "innocent". They just say "we did the right thing" not a legal statement and allow the press to say, "Well, they're not innocent."
Later that year - on the birthday of the Marine Corps Political Association, we were again accused with various accusations that we killed 19 civilians, so I decided to release the editor and go directly - the president of the parent media company. .

The military has not been held accountable for dragging us into the mud and then allowing the lies in the media to continue. The military has not revealed what they did wrong.
